A sturdy, slim leather belt designed for children's everyday wear.
At 25 mm wide, this belt is narrow enough for small trousers (and skirts), yet solid enough for daily use. Its simple proportions keep the focus on the leather and the solid brass hardware.
The belt is cut and finished by hand in the Studio van de Laar workshop. The edges are carefully burnished for a smooth finish. The flesh side is glass-burnished with Tokonole, giving the inside a clean, finished surface. The buckle is secured with a traditional hand saddle stitch.
A solid brass buckle from Maison Poursin completes the design. The belt is hand-stitched with Fil Au Chinois linen thread, which is hand-waxed with beeswax before stitching.
The belt is available in four Fil Au Chinois thread colours: white, natural, yellow and orange. Each colour gives the belt its own character, while the design and construction stay the same.
Natural leather develops a patina over time, so the belt changes with use. Natural variations in grain and colour are part of the material.

Natural variations in grain, colour and surface are part of the character of the hide. With use, the leather will develop a deeper colour and its own individual patina. The solid brass buckle will gradually develop a patina alongside it.
